The write-up

Available now is our Astral Silver Metallic 1973 Mercedes Benz 450 SL in exceptional condition. 3 owners since new with all service records since 1973. This car started it's life in 1973 in Seattle WA until it was imported to it's next owner in 2008. The car then lived in Chilliwack from 2008-2020 under the 2nd owner who did majority of the work including fresh paint work and interior upholstery restoration. In 2020, records show that the 3rd owner had the vehicle in Victoria BC from 2020-2025, before it was sold to a dealer who we had acquired this beautiful car from. West Coast car since new!

All maintenance up to date with completely new fuel system (filters, pump, fuel level sensor, fuel lines & fuel tank), new sway bar links (front & back), all new front-end components including professional alignment, brand new BF Goodrich Radial TA tires(Jul 2026), new bump stops, new rear differential fluid, new starter motor, new heater blower motor, brakes, recent timing chain & soft-top and completely new exhaust (front to back). We purchased a custom OE style carpet mat from Belgium for the trunk as well as fitted interior floor mats that match the original factory style. Original Mercedes tool kit & jack are complete and are included as well as the owner's and maintenance manual. A/C is currently not working, but heat and air work (common problem on the R107 Chassis due to the type of refrigerant used.)

Originally ordered with contrasting black hard-top & matching hub-caps. 1973 models of the 450SL are special in that they have the smaller 'euro-style' bumpers and are unencumbered by the emission systems that plagued the power of later versions. 129,000 miles. Dash-board is free of cracks, upholstery (MB Tex) shows as brand new, all gauges as well as interior & exterior lighting are in working order. Original Becker Europa radio works as it should. Shows as brand new with absolutely zero rust.

Recently inspected with a super clean bill of health by CG Motorsports. CarFax unavailable due to vehicle age, however records in May 1998 suggest front corner and rear corner body work totalling $3500, no other collision or accident repair noticed in records or after physical inspection. Vehicle is clean title. Showings are by appointment only. Taxes are extra. No financing available on vehicle due to age. We do not charge any documentation or dealer fees.
